Opening ICA files

Symptoms

Downloaded file does not open when accessing app: PJT Demo Icon Open Download

Resolution

  1. Open Windows search and look for "Default apps": Search Default Apps

  2. Scroll towards the bottom and click "Choose defaults by file type": Choose Default

  3. Search for ".ica": Choose ICA

  4. If .ica files are not set to open with Citrix Connection Manager, click to set them to open with Citrix Connection Manager by default: Set Citrix Default

  5. Try downloading and opening Projecto, Performo, or REportfolio again.

    Note: You can set your browser to always open the downloads automatically.



If the above steps do not work:


  1. Go to your Downloads folder and look for the .ica file which was downloaded. Right-click on the file, move your cursor to the "Open with" menu, and select "Choose another app": ICA Open With

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the window that says "Select an app to open this .ica file with" and click "Choose an app on your PC": Select App To Open With

  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client: ICA Client Path

  4. Scroll down until you see "wfcrun32.exe". Double-click this file: wfcrun32 Option

  5. Try downloading and opening Projecto, Performo, or REportfolio again.


If neither of the above solutions work, please try resetting Citrix Workspace.
